A bunch of guest shots in Spider-Man, Iron Man and
Avengers to establish where Ricochet, Hornet and Prodigy are now.
Ricochet makes himself known to Spider-Man, who over a few months
trains Ricochet up a bit. Then Spider-Woman turns up and she starts
hanging with the two of them, also getting tips off of Spidey, and
working very closely with Rico.
Eddie is now working for Stark, in the department that works closely
with Armour development. An armoured vigilante has been reported
to be working around LA.
Prodigy approaches Captain America for training, after one mission
Cap hands him over to the Avengers as he believes Ritchie would
be better served there then solely with him. Plus a mission Cap's
off on he doesn't want to risk a rookie.
Iron-Man finds Hornet and starts making sure he's really capable.
He takes Hornet to him to New York to the Avengers, where Eddie
meets Ritchie and they talk and after a mission decide to go find
Johnny who’s been seen with Spidey.
ISSUE 1
The three of them meet up and after a fight with some pretty non-descript
bank robbers they decide to reform as the Slingers (cool scene here,
back on the rooftop of old, the three of them back the costumes,
all the old interaction comes out like nothings changed, yet all
three show they've grown over the years, Dusk could be shown in
the background/shadows, just watching). Johnny tells Spider-Man
and Woman that he's off and Mattie asks to come along, Peter wishes
them luck and he knows a guy who might be interested. He makes a
phone call to a bleach blonde only seen sitting down and from behind.
Then tells the four Slingers there's a guy who wants to talk to
them in Seattle.
ISSUE 2
The four on a train, the train is attacked by a super villain and
its the first time all four go to work together, more obvious shots
of Dusk watching and even helping without anyone else knowing. They
reach Seattle, go to a door, the door opens, shot of the blonde
from behind again with the four Slingers through the door, Mattie
and Johnny look in shock, Eddie and Ritchie look neutral.
The third issue reveals and flashes back to what happened to the
mysterious fifth member of the team and the first story arc deals
with the team dealing with their new leader and the ongoing plot of the blooming relationship
between Johnny and Mattie, and the clandestine help of Dusk.
The second story arc is the team have discovered that Dusk is watching over them and what she's been up to since the close of the first series.
